Home Sellers Guide: Main Sewer Line

Posted

This is a new area that buyers have begun to focus on and understandably so, as it can cost between $3,000 – $15,000 to replace a sewer line. Not to mention the amount of lawn damage that goes along with it. The buyer will bring in a company, like Speedy Drain, to run a camera through the drain to see what, if any damage there is to the pipe. Many pipes have tree roots growing through them and many have deteriorated causing them to need to be replaced. The homeowner is responsible for any pipe up to the curb.

You may or may not want to know what is going on with your drain. Whatever you know about your home, you must disclose.
