If you have hardwood floors under carpet, pull up the carpet and redo the floors if they need it. We have never had a buyer want carpeting, even in the bedroom. We know it means moving furniture, but this is another place where it is money, time and energy well spent!

You’re going to be moving anyway and it’s likely that there’s plenty of things that you don’t want to take with you. Get rid of them now! Sell, give away, and donate!
